In May this year I started out a campaign with
my NGO to meet with students; that is, young Nigerians in order to empower
their mindset and discourage them from social vices such as drug abuse,
alcoholism, cultism, hooliganism amongst others and also reduce to the barest
minimum apathy among Nigerian youths.
I have conducted mind empowerment programmes
in about seven secondary schools in Calabar and this has helped in reducing the
level security issues in the area.
I have also been to internally displaced
persons Camp in Calabar to discuss with young ones and their parents and also
to Uyo to discuss with Bakassi returnees with Akwa ibom state origin.
